Baubericht - Klick auf Bild

Propulsion: AeroTech G35-4W
Built by: Rolf Stabroth
Construction:

The A4 - Red Eagle has a height of 870 mm and a max. diameter of 98 mm.
It weighs 1.45 kg without motors.
Recovery is done by an x-chute with the standard motor delay.

Highlights:
The mother of all modern rockets, Wernher von Braun's A4, is one of the most copied rockets by many rocketeers all over the world. Because of its beautiful form it was my urge to reproduce this rocket as a model, too. I was stunned by the color design from the team "Canadian Arrow". This team will undertake the challenging task to build a model of the A4 which can do a manned launch into space. The "Canadian Arrow" was the example for the exterior design of my model rocket. The idea of Wernher von Braun to reach the moon with a manned rocket ship was furthermore the reason for me to use the historical picture of the "Virgin at the moon" in my painting. The chief graphic designer in Peenemuende, G. de Beek, painted this picture onto the tail of the A4 prior to its first successful test flight in 1943.
